Why buy Casa's bakery products?

Simple. As a start, we have always been using real butter to make our breads, cookies, and pastry products. As opposed to many local bakeries, they use lard or margarine to make their products. Those ingredients are sources of trans-fat, which is not healthy for our bodies. We cooperated with TVB to produce a special episode on this issue on the Pearl Report as well as a Chinese version. Therefore, one can be rest assured that we are committed to provide quality and healthy products. We also use premium grade flour and cheeses, as well as our other ingredients. We also have products that can accommodate people requires special dietary needs like diabetes, as well as a wide range of bread products that use no oils and high in fiber. We also cater to many different needs of our customers for our cake and pastry products. We try our best to satisfy your culinary needs.

Why are our products priced higher than most local bakeries?

 


Because we are committed to using quality ingredients, our costs are much higher than other local bakeries. As an example, using butter is about four times more expensive than using margarine from our suppliers. Our flour is twice as much as the ones commonly used by other bakeries. Therefore, we do need to price our products accordingly.

Why are other bakeries' breads seem to be softer than yours?

Try spreading butter and margarine on a loaf of bread and you can see the difference. Margarine or lard's natural texture is softer than butter. Our local style breads are made with butter thus it will be firmer and not as soft. Lack of preservatives may also be a factor.
